Auditions Held June 10th
On Sunday, June 10, The Charity Guild will be holding auditions for a new vocal competition — The Voices of Champions. Auditions will be held at the Shaw’s Center from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Anyone interested in trying out must make an appointment and pay a $5 registration fee.
Ayla Brown, American Idol runnerup will perform and be a judge.
The winner of the Final Competition will receive recording time at the Track Shack
and will be guest soloist for the opening games of the Rox 2013 season
and The Charity Guild's Holiday Concert on November 30, 2012.
Auditions may be done in singles or in groups, and all ages are welcome. The best contestants will be selected to move on to the next rounds of competition (also held at the Shaw’s Center): the Preliminaries, held Sept. 5 and 12 at 7 p.m., and the Final Competition, held at the Guild’s Harvest Gala on Sept. 27.
Proceeds from the event will support The Charity Guild’s food pantry.
