The Charity Guild Food Pantry is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, each week, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Food Pantry distributes perishable and non-perishable foods to singles and families requesting assistance.
There are a number of different activities requiered to make the Food Pantry run smoothly. Volunteers may help with client intake, fill bags, redistribute bulk foods, stock shelves, sort donations or assist with record keeping.
The Food Pantry purchases food from a local wholesaler, obtains items from The Greater Boston Food Bank and accepts donations from individuals and companies.
Similar to a regular retail grocer, these items must be stocked and rotated to assure that our clients receive the freshest food we have available. |
