Market Basket at Westgate Mall   (Ongoing)

Market Basket is back and so is The Charity Guild's food collection box at the Brockton store, in the Westgate Mall. Executive Director Michael Molyneux invites all friends of The Guild to drop in a can or two.

Jingle Bell Run 2016   (Dec 2016)

Thank you to The Enterprise for giving Brockton area residents a chance to support agencies like ours and to Dave Gorman for making food donations available to us. We took six large boxes back to The Guild.

Woman’s Club of Brockton   (Nov 2016)

Thanks to the Woman's Club of Brockton for collecting food for us, as they have done so often. Our food pantry gets busy this time of year!

Beltone Hearing Aid Centers   (Nov 2016)

Our friends at Beltone Hearing Aid Centers did a Thanksgiving food drive for us and collected a beautiful boxful. Maureen Pontes and Mark Hall showed it off. They are at 830 Belmont Street in Brockton.

Employees of Signature Health Care (Clothing Drive)   (Nov 2016)

The employees of Signature Healthcare came through for The Charity Guild in this year’s Professional Clothing Drive. Called “Suits and Skirts for Brockton,” the drive benefitted clients of Father Bill’s and Mainspring as well as the Guild. More than 40 bags of top-quality items – like the Jones New York you see here – were contributed. They will equip some of our clients to go to an interview or go to work. Thanks to those who worked hard on the drive, including Katie Laycock of Sodexho and Kathy Johnson, food service events coordinator at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital.

Hancock Elementary School in Brockton   (Dec 2015)

Hancock Elementary School in Brockton came through for The Charity Guild in a big way with a food drive. Teacher Tanya Lincoln and Principal Stephen Shaw delivered hundreds of items, valued by The Guild at $1,000.

Metro South Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Breakfast   (Dec 2015)

@Melanie McGrath, a staff member of the @Metro South Chamber of Commerce, tended to the many food donations to The Charity Guild that members made this morning at the chamber's Government Affairs breakfast. Oh yes, Governor Baker spoke too.

Stonehill College Giving Tree   (Dec 2015)

The Charity Guild is very grateful to the Stonehill College community for the sizable food donation made through Stonehill's Giving Tree. Making the delivery were Erica Stewart, who is the Campus Minister for Community Service and Partnerships, Father Tim Mouton and Matthew Farrenkopf, a Stonehill student.

Jingle Bell Run   (Dec 2015)

Thanks to Dave Gorman and to Enterprise Helping Hands for again making The Charity Guild a beneficiary of the Jingle Bell Run. The Guild appreciates the five boxes of food that were collected. And the costumes were a great show.We love USA Christmas Town.

Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger   (May 2015)

Saturday May 9th was the day people were asked to leave out items for local food pantries, to be picked up by their letter carrier. The Charity Guild received 1,385 pounds of donations at the Commercial Street Post Office. Among those who helped were Michael Molyneux; executive director; Ben Twohig, board member Susan Nicastro's son; and David Barton, food pantry manager. Hats off to Lynne Stent and Eileen Bailey for staying late at The Guild to help offload the donations.

Mutual Bank Brockton East Banking Center   (Dec 2014)

Our friends at the Brockton East Banking Center of Mutual Bank are holding a food drive for us through the end of the year. Branch Manager Aida Monteiro and colleagues showed off the collection box, at 656 Crescent Street.

Jingle Bell Run   (Dec 2014)

Some kind volunteers collected food donations for The Guild at the Jingle Bell Run in Brockton on Saturday. Generous donors brought enough food to fill seven cartons for The Guild before turning their attention to a two-mile walk or run. The event benefited the Helping Hands Fund of the Enterprise.

Good Samaritan Medical Center    (Aug 2014)

One of the largest food drives for The Guild this year was conducted by the spiritual care department of Good Samaritan Medical Center. Chaplains Gerry Paciello, Erin McCarthy and Kathy Donohue posed with the donations, which were valued at $1,300.

Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger   (May 2014)

The Charity Guild thanks the people of Brockton for setting out 16,240 pounds of food on Saturday for the letter carriers' annual drive. We also thank all the carriers and Sean O'Malley (not the cardinal) for his strong leadership in organizing the drive, which benefited seven food pantries. The Guild took in 2,385 pounds, for the use of our pantry clients, way more than last year. And thanks to Dave Barton, Tony O'Brien and Marijo Martin for hauling.

Trinity Catholic Academy in Brockton   (May 2014)

Trinity Catholic Academy in Brockton collected 10 boxes of food in a drive to benefit the Charity Guild food pantry. Among those who helped the load the donation were Alino Rodrigues, Joshua Michel and Isabella Jardim.
