Be a Change Maker
The truth about food insecurity: it doesn’t discriminate. Anyone can be affected by a change in circumstances.
The Charity Guild has always relied on kindhearted and generous volunteers and donors to support its mission of providing emergency food assistance to those in need.
Through your time and your giving, you have an incredible impact on the Greater Brockton community. We are immensely grateful!
“I’ve never been a person to have food insecurity, but I can imagine what it’s like. It’s nice knowing I’m helping others not have to struggle with that.”
—Anthony, The Charity Guild Volunteer
Coin & Dollar Drive
One of the best ways to support our mission and help feed your neighbors is by hosting a coin & dollar drive. Every bit adds up, and monetary donations provide flexibility and the ability to purchase most-needed food at the right time. They make sure we can offer fresh foods like fruit, eggs, chicken and bread. Because of our partnerships with local suppliers, we’re often able to purchase food at a better rate.
To schedule your drive, please email support@thecharityguild.org.
Donate
Monetary donations from companies, individuals, and foundations are critical to our mission of providing fresh, nutritious food to those in need. We receive a weekly delivery from the Greater Boston Food Bank. To make sure we have enough food available, we supplement that by purchasing food from local markets and farms.
We serve 50 households per day at the Main Street pantry; 60 students every Friday at Brockton High School; and 40 home deliveries each Saturday.
The cost for one full week of The Charity Guild food programs is about $2,500.
Your donation, of any amount, can make a big difference! It will go to work immediately to help feed those in need. See more ways to give here.
DONATE TODAY
Volunteer
Dedicated volunteers keep things running smoothly and reliably at the Charity Guild food programs. Activities include sorting and storing food when it’s donated or delivered, food deliveries, greeting clients, and more.
We appreciate volunteers who can donate a couple of hours on the same day each week. We welcome early morning and afternoon volunteer shifts.

Donate Food
While monetary donations provide the most flexibility, for those looking to donate food, we truly appreciate it when you ask what the community needs. Food on hand varies from week to week.
We can create a list for you of specific food items you can donate. Please email donate@thecharityguild.org for the list and to schedule a donation day and time.
Community Service
Students may be able to complete required community service hours. Students younger than 18 must present a permission letter written by a parent, teacher, or mentor.
Company Outings
We welcome businesses, organizations, and families looking to give back to the community with a day of volunteering.
Please contact us at least two weeks in advance to discuss availability. If you have questions about what it would look like to volunteer with The Charity Guild, please email volunteer@thecharityguild.org to learn more!
“I support The Charity Guild because you’re a volunteer organization with a dedicated staff, rather than a corporation supported by volunteers.”
—Patti Conway, longtime former Board member and loyal donor
