Events

An Essential Part of the Greater Brockton Community

At The Charity Guild, we strive to remove the stigma of needing assistance. We do this by educating our community through partnerships with local schools and organizations, by offering events and outings for our clients, and by participating in events hosted by others sharing our mission.

  • The Charity Guild Board of Directors leads our annual gala planning each year. This fundraising event historically has been our most important fundraising event of the year.

Donations generated by this event help to support our annual operating costs, our mission and programs.

  • Please consider supporting our annual “Mother’s Day Gifting Event” for local elementary school students. We provide a free assortment of gifts from which students may select their favorite for their mothers and loved ones. Your financial support for these gifts would be appreciated by so many children. We also accept bulk gift donations – items such as costume jewelry, perfume, nail polish, hand lotion and lip gloss. Please contact us at donate@thecharityguild.org to inquire how to donate items such as these

  • Please consider supporting our annual Easter Baskets program. In April 2023 our goal will be to create 250 Easter Baskets to distribute to our clients with young children. Sponsor a basket for $15 which will cover the cost of one basket and provide 10 MEALS.  We also accept bulk gift donations – items such as color books, crayons, sidewalk chalk, holiday candy, bubbles and more. Please contact us at donate@thecharityguild.org to inquire how to donate items such as these.

  • Please consider supporting our annual trips to the Children’s Museum in Easton for our clients with young children. Your donation for this program will support our trip costs from bus transportation to lunch.

  • Please consider supporting our annual family fun day in 2023. TCG’s Spring Into Summer is a free community event held in our parking lot at the corner of Main and Dover, in partnership with local community partners The Old Colony YMCA, Brockton Arts, and The Stacy Adams Cultural Arts Center. Your donation for this event helps us provide free activities and food for children and their families.

    Sponsorship opportunities are available.

  • Please consider supporting our student ambassador program. We meet monthly with a dedicated group of Brockton High School students who are helping us raise awareness about food insecurity and inspire volunteerism. Our ambassadors are eager to work with us to end hunger in the Brockton community. Your support of our ambassador program will enable us to provide free transportation and meals for our ambassadors as well as supplies needed for our on campus activities. These youth ambassadors support our mission on campus, as well as volunteer at our Thrift Shop and at our community events.
